Rigid SKS Scope Mount

The Allchin SKS mount was designed to give SKS a rigid base for mounting a scope. The Allchin SKS mount takes full advantage of the potential accuracy of the SKS. The SKS is able to outperform many guns of similar design. Unfortunately for the SKS, 95% of the mounts available to the receiver cover or are clamped on the top and sides. The Allchin mount gives you low cost alternative to the current mounts that move when you shoot.

Note: This mount should be installed by a qualified gunsmith.

Very similar to the Choate Scope Mount SKS except the Choate mount wants you to tap the receiver whereas the Allchin mount has a threaded backstop.

I don't see any problems with the Allchin mount except for maybe clearance issues with the backstop. These types of mounts will provide the best platform for a scope on the SKS.

Allchin is located in the California, you may have a problem getting them to ship to Canada, but until you ask, you will never know.

SKS was not conceived for any type of optical sight, period.

All resistance is futile. You will be annihilated! (or that's what the Borg's Queen said)...
And, well, I'd say she was kinda... er... pretty. ;)
PP.

I don’t like that this mount only has two slots in the dovetail for ring screws.

The Choate mount has three on each end to allow some options for positioning the rings for different scopes.

I drilled and tapped the receiver on one of my SKS’s yesterday for a Choate mount I got from sksman and put on a Bushnell red dot.
I took my time drilling and tapping and cutting a notch in the stock.
It turned out great.
