anyone sell Sig Sauer air guns in Canada?

I bought a Sig X-Five all metal blowback pistol a while back. It's probably had 3000+/- BBs run through it. Great recoil feedback and a fun shooter. The drawback is that my trigger sear is starting to wear to a point that the gun is no longer safe. I've tried looking for replacement parts but no luck.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this pistol eats CO2 like crazy! You'll get maybe 3 reloads before it goes empty.

I got mine, now where is the dam BB hole ??

I've been thinking about ordering one of those from Replica Airguns

I ordered one of their SIG P226 S5s online on Monday and it arrived on my doorstep on Wednesday AM. No problemmo.
Still on my first CO2 cartridge after five mags. Works just as described. Mostly... :(

Man, are those mags ever a butch to load!! Puuuuusssshhhhing one BB at a time thru that (slightly undersize) hole in the front?? Damn! And that pathetic little button they expect me to pull down with my thumbnail??
'Fuhgettaboudit'!
I've got a genuine 9mm here, and I can load its mag a whole lot faster than this one. I even opted for the spare mag but after getting 10 or 12 BBs into the first mag, I suddenly lost all enthusiasm for loading the second one. Da'fuq??
Is their a trick to it, or am I trying to force an entry at the wrong end???
Halp! My thumbnails, along with my patience, are wearing thin!

I am looking at the replicas for practicing drills and I have heard good things about the x-5 from Cabelas. It would appear it is built by Sig and the compensator can be removed. Has anyone bought one of these? Also would it fit in a Serpa holster? I have a P226 dark elite so I want to be able to use the replica with all my duty gear.

Thanks,

They look real good, but be careful!

IDK what the Cabelas' version looks like. I got one of the KWC SIGs last month from Replica Airguns (see earlier post). It's a dead ringer for the P.226, but it's not a good shooter IMO because loading those mags can be bloody dangerous.

BTW-- None of them are made "by" SIG, even tho they say "SIG" right there on the grip. They're mostly made in Taiwan, some in Germany, and all "under license" from SIG Sauer. Well, OK, not "all": Mine was not one of the ones made under license, so it didn't have the name stamped on the grips, and the grip areas on the rear of the slide were vertical instead of slanted.

In the end, I returned it to RA because it nearly took somebody's eye out when a BB unexpectedly shot out of the mag whilst I was trying to load it. It sprang out going maybe 1-200 fps. Totally hazardous material.
Maybe the other makes have safer mags.
I've got an Umarex P.08 which has a much more user friendly mag design.

You mean airsoft. Here is a link to a friend who is an airsoft retailer in Saskatoon.

He is also a good airsoft gun doctor ....if you have a gun with problems and needs repairs, or if you need parts.
He is a respected member of the established Canadian airsoft community.

He also owns, and shoots real firearms... several milsurp rifles, a Swiss Arms rifle, and some shotguns and pistols... and is a member here at CGN, so no jokes about real guns.

Purchasing airsoft pistols from outside Canada is risky, as your pistol will likely be seized by the CBSA.
There are velocity requirements, and most pistols will not meet them, and will get seized.

I picked up a siggy p226 at cabellas, like it so much picked up another for my son at princess auto. Ya, a bit of a pain to load the bb's, but the little button you pull down with your thumb nail clicks down into place so you don't have to hold it. Just make sure to unclick it when yer done loading :)

forgot about making this thread and remembered when I was on Sig's website today.

I was not talking so much about Sig copies than 'actual' Sig airguns listed on their website. see here:
http://www.sigsauerasp.com/

from the spec's listed for the MPX and the P250, it seems to insinuate they likely have models that meet our sub-500fps restriction to stay below firearm classification.

I am not currently interested in buying a pellet gun that is classified as a firearm.

Sig is working on packaging and hoping to release this line of airguns in Canada later this year. All fire below 500fps in earlier testing but of course marketing gurus keep pushing the speed limits higher.
