Anyone shoot a Ruger m77/22 RSI

the mags are technically not interchangeable. The 77/22 are flatter on the bottom to be flush with the bottom of the stock while 10/22 have more rounded bottoms. While most should fit in either, but some fitment issues were reported and the mag could get jammed in one action or the other. They are dimensionally slightly different.

If the price is right, go for it
- as a bonus, it can share magazines with the 10/22

I have a 77/22 in each calibre, 22LR, 22WNR and 17HMR, which is technically a 77/17. They are not RSI though, stainless sporter barrels without sights in zytel stocks. Cool little rifles. I used to have RSi but I found it too pretty to be taken out in the woods in fear of putting any marks on it. I suppose my concern was loosing value. So I sold it and bought those little zytel stocked stainless rifles, all with good Burris scopes for a good price. Now it seems the prices doubled. I also found some spare parts, screws, trigger parts, magazine elements, and a complete and functional bolt. So I have a spare parts kit and they should last me forever. I wish I could last forever....no spare parts kit for me, alas.

I have three, 77/22, 77/22 Hornet and the 77/44, all shoot great except for the Hornet. The 77/22 is a elegant little sporter, I've owned it since they first became available around 1987. The 10/22 mags will work but do not fit properly.

I've always wondered why Ruger didn't produce the 77/22 RSI in the more traditional blued/walnut. I would've scooped them up in a heartbeat. I too have the 77/22, the WMR version and the 77/17. Love them. Had the 77/44 and the 77/22 Hornet.

Well, they did make one in blue-walnut
- Here's one I should have probably bought, it was worked over by Klaus Hiptmayer

There is a nice Ruger 77/22 RSI in 22mag on the EE right now.A little pricy but nice.I would be interested myself except my funds are low and I have no real use for a 22mag as it s overkill for rabbits and the ammo is too pricy just to plink with. That said if I had the money I would be hard put not to buy it.
