Anyone shooting 68/69gr successfully out of their PE90?

Is 68/69gr stabilizing for anyone out of their PE90? I'd love to be able to shoot the Hornady 68 and Sierra 69, but won't invest in the bullets until I hear a success story

I'm aware, and restricted... Also, I just missed a 1/7" PE90 barrel a little while ago due to twiddling my thumbs too long...

Tried Sierra 68's. Was not happy with the results out of the 1/10 twist barrel. Will try 62's next.

The RUAG issued ammo is 62 grain so I am guessing 62 grain should work just fine.

Yeah 62 is what I shoot currently, and what the rifle is regulated for, just wanted a higher BC...

Sadly, no, running the same American Eagle and Winchester as everyone else...

I use C77, 62gr, (but the bullets are as long as 69gr sierras) in my rifle. It shoots under MOA so I guess that is good enough for service rifle. I don't see why 69gr ammo would not shoot at least as well. I would recommend trying it.

We had one customer early on who tried 77gr HMS ammo from teh states who loved the results... But this is only a sampling of one shooter... I'd definitely give it a try to see what it does in YOUR rifle.

1/7" actually, I missed the opportunity to get one at the same time he got his due to hesitation

I used to use 69gr SMK in my BlueStar when it was 1:10" but they never worked quite as well as they did in my 1:7" AR but they where not bad. However, it really likec 62gr or lighter much better than the 69gr bullets. Since I changed to the 1:7" on my BlueStar I can now use 77gr SMK in it and they shoot very well now, they didn't shoot worth a dam in the 1:10" barrel.

The 69 gr Sierra is one of the better shooting bullets in my Black Special, seated on top of Varget. Aren't the two Swiss loads a 63 gr ball and 69 gr Match?
