Just curious if any other cgner's were shooting .25wssm's. What type of rifle? What kind of accuracy? Do you have any favorite handloads for it? What type of game has it provided? I bought one for my son when he turned 10. A browning abolt. Awsome gun. So far it has killed 2 mule deer bucks, a moose and a fox. Some times when i am good he lets me play with it too!

.25wssm never seen a ton of popularity. its a good round, no doubt, but its too close to already established cartridges.

If I ever source some brass, I might give one a try.

Are you handloading for his, or can factory ammo still be had?

a can still buy pre rolled but its pricey. Last time i bought some it was around $40 a box. I reload with barnes tsx's and some reloader 19. The beauty of it is the lenght of the action and short barrel (22" i believe). Almost feels like a toy in your hands. It is awsome for kids or smaller framed people.

I have a .25 wssm in a Winchester M70 Coyote. I punch more paper than anything with it but have a few coyotes and a few crows with it. My go to load is a Serria 87gr varminter bullit on top of 47gr of IMR 4350. I have shot plenty of sub 1" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. There are a lot of critics of this caliber and I would agree with a lot of what is said, it can do nothing that cant be done with existing calibers but I enjoy it because its different.

All I can say is I once had a WSSM .243 that shot beautiful and consistent pie-plates and I will not likely ever own another one. I have seen plenty of reports/reviews of the WSSM ammo that reinforce my sentiment.
I replaced that otherwise beautiful little rifle with an A-bolt 25-06 and have lived happily ever after.

I bought one for my girlfriend. Its a Browning A bolt medallion. We haven't shot it (waiting) for a scope. He worked up some loads for it I will try and post some pics or if i could send them to someone.
