Anyone shooting Girsan MC9?

You'll probably get more replies if you post in the handgun section.

Milling the slide is the "correct" way to do it. There are optic mount adapters that fit into a rear sight dovetail cut, but they are not a great solution - The mass of the mount and the red dot is much, much greater than what the dovetail cut is designed to handle.

Another non standard but entertaining approach is to mount a laser on the accessory rail on the frame.

This is a cheap pistol that is well made and works well. I have two of them and they are almost as good as my Canik that cost twice as much.

My Girsans were made with the slide milled for a red dot.

I suggest you do what I did. Sell the standard Girsan and buy the one made for optics.

Wanna put a red dot on Girsan MC9 standard

Anyone know if it's possible to switch out the slide on Girsan MC9 standard to one that will accept a red dot? I know I could mill the slide but was wondering if slide from the optic ready version might fit.
