Anyone shooting Zastava fullstock rifles?

I had two, one in .308 and a 7X57 sold both... Pretty decent guns, nice bluing, good accuracy, solid mechanics... The wood is too light and bland for my taste... But an FS at that price point has to give-up "something, somewhere."

The Zastava are very good value for the money and well made rifles. They are often compared to the CZ550FS, which are slightly more expensive and better finished, also one thing to be aware of is that the CZ550FS in 308 comes with a detachable mag. I have had both the Zavasta full stock in 3006 and CZ550FS in 3006 and still have a CZ550FS in 308 which I traded my CZ550FS in 3006 for, because I wanted the detachable mag. The Zavasta and CZ550FS both have hammer forged barrels.

Would like some information on the Zastava full stock rifles. How accurate is yours specifically looking for information on the 308 and the 30-06 full wood models.

Just recently acquired one in ".366 Wagner" and mounted a scope on it. This one has a little darker wood, which I prefer, than the first one I was looking at. From what I've seen and what I've heard from others, they're not a bad bang for the buck.

Once I shake this cold I'll get out for some testing.

I like mine except for the fact that the base was drilled way off.

Mine appeared to be well aligned when I mounted and bore sighted the scope. As soon as I shed this hum dinger of a cold, I'll get out and burn some powder through it. From what playing and fondling I've done with it so far, if I had to name a complaint it would be that it doesn't have the smoothness when cycling the bolt that other makes have. That may smooth out a little with use but, I guess that's sort of to be expected as it didn't cost an arm and a leg either.

Same problem with mine (9.3x62 fullstock). The holes were nicely lined up and the 2-piece Weaver bases I put on originally aligned the scope perfectly with the barrel...but when I got a one-piece Leupold base later I found the forward holes off about 1/32-inch longitudinally. It's the only complaint I have about the gun.

It's very encouraging to shoot a new gun with the iron sights, and find them almost perfectly adjusted and almost perfectly centered on the barrel. Then, when I threw the cheapo Weaver bases on and clamped a scope on in an old set of Weaver rings, boresighting indicated no adjustments required before shooting. First group was centered within about a half-inch or so of POA at 50 yards. :)
