Anyone shot the new CZ 455?

Been trying to get my hands on a new 452 Lux, but I've called all over the country and no one has them any more; apparently they're all now the 455?

Has anyone out there shot the new 455s? If so, I was wondering how it compares to the 452 (shorter barrel, I know) - most importantly how it actually shoots!

Did CZ step up an already fantastic game, or drop the ball and ruin a classic with the new 455? Is it a winner?
 
Yup like Rod B said the boys on rimfire central don`t see much difference. Haven`t seen any lux models unless you are a southpaw, Prophet River has one.
 
the 452 has better quality parts and better fit and finish.

i snapped up a 452 scout for my daughter this week, she is only 2. but the 455 does not look as good to me. so i'd rather buy the 452 now and store it for years than have to buy the 455..
 
I have a 455 standard.

For 500.00 I'm having a less than excellent experience. I should have gotten a 452.

Brand New gun, fails to eject frequently, spins the case in the chamber. Sent in for warranty, 3 weeks later it's better, but still for 500.00 I expected more. The odd round still does have trouble ejecting. Am I wrong to expect a trouble free gun?

Yes, it is accurate, no complaints there but a Savage is too and for less money.

I guess I would complain about the magazine availability. Why doesn't their distributors have them for sale? (Wholesale sports I'm talking to you.) I have to buy them from some 3rd party in Ontario, that's not optimal.

That line they have about better manufacturing, that's BS. They cut costs to increase profits. That's what a good business does. I did it myself by getting a cheaper studio once I made my reputation as a photographer. In this case it means getting a gun of lesser quality. It's cheaper to make. That's a fact.

It is not better, get a 452 if you can.

PS. CZ if your listening......

I didn't appreciate filling out that detailed online warranty form only to have you waste my time by not responding. Why bother having it?
