Anyone tried Bell and Carlson stock modifications??

Ive got a Rem 700 SA in a Bell and Carlson Light Varmint/ Tactical stock with the thumb hook. I just modified the stock to accept a DBM and bedded that in. Picked up a KMW loggerhead adjustable comb kit a while back and want try my hand modifying the stock and installing that. Fully aware that i COULD mess up the stock...i like learning the hard way sometimes though
Wondering if anyone has any experience doing something like this to the bell and carlsons? Im pretty certain there is an extension of the aluminum insert that extends into the rear of the stock...but not 100% sure.

I would email Bell and Carlson , tell them exactly what you are planning , they may even have helpful info , or may just say holy sheet no dont do it

Been a while, but figured I would update. Decided to just go for it and learn...turned out great, aluminum stopped just before the inlet I cut for the hardware. Very happy with how it turned out!

Frugal cheek riser...

Fitness store cheap gel elbow pad to slide over stock,,, get the cinch style stock ammo pad to go over top of gel pad,,, suck up tigth and your good to go...

I did 2 of my rifles,,, the gel elbow pads are a set,,, ha...

Worked out to be $25 bucks each with pads and frugal stockings ammo poutches...
