All 3 of mine will not feed the last round. Its like the mag sits a bit to high in the mag well and the bolt is getting hung up on the magazine ?? If I hit the mag release and pull down on the mag VERY slightly it will chamber the round and then I can push up on the mag to engage the mag catch before firing the last round. it will hold open on the last round. Is this a magazine or a spring issue ? My PMAG 10 rounders run great

a side question. What ammo are you running?

If I run Winchester steel cases Forge ammo (....ya ya got a deal I could not pass up ) the last 1 or two rounds jam up almost always.

if I run Brass cased rounds ( winchester white box or Remmington green box ) No issues. What I found after scratching my head. The steel cased ammo, sticks a bit in the mags. its like they have a dry powder or coating on the case that acts like a brake.

my experience.

But the SGM mags work well in my Glock 19 and 17 PC carbine and Keltech with no issues with brass cases all factory.
hope you can sort it out.

I was using Remington 124 grain brass case. Its a brand new gun and brand new mags. Just strange to have the exact same problem with all 3 SGM mags. I had to clean some plastic molding flash away from the top front portion of the SGM mags so the lifters wouldn't hang up on it. I will take them apart and see if the spring is hung up on the limit pin and remove and re install the Glock magwell. If that don't work I might look for the heavier Wolff mag spring as a last ditch effort before just chalking it up to cheap ass Korean mags lol.

i bought the SGM 33rd mag and had the same problem. I had to return it to the store. wasn't sure if it was the manufacturing technique and if it was for all SGM 33rders. haven't tried any long stick mags since.

the follower is too high i guess and activates the bolt catch before you can feed the last round from what i saw with mine

Ya that is exactly what is happening. The SGM mags bolt catch landing is slightly higher. Just enough that it activates the bolt hold open with the last round still in the mag. I am going to try and shave down the landing on the SGM follower a tiny bit to see if I can get it to chamber that last round. Thanks for the reply.

OK, problem solved. If you take a fresh box cutter and trim about 1mm off the bolt catch landing on the lifter its just enough to chamber the final round and still activate the bolt hold open. YES:cool:
