A big store in Montreal have in stock 3 size of Steiner Predator scopes, by handling them in the store you can fell the quality and lens are cristal clear, any real shooting experience with them, all 3 are under a 1000.00... JP.

Never seen the rifle scopes, however I have a pair of Predator binoculars. They are as good as my Zeiss, and everyone who looks through them exclaims how crisp and bright they are.

The reticule is quite amazing, kind of a DOA 1000 and an Hilux CMR hybrid, going back tonight bringing my S&B to compare clarity... JP.

Camera Land has a great price on these at the moment(dealer demo's)

I will be importing a Steiner Military 5-25x56 shortly. These stack up favorably to S&B and are made in Germany.

I believe Burris is building their Predator line as well as their first Gen. Tactical series.

I don't know about the scopes but the binocs are top notch. The cheap ($300 or less) navigator beat anything in the price range. Just bought a set of commander xp (on sale $750) 7X50; no chance to test yet but they look bomproof - heavy though.
used the navigators thru last years field season - lots of mud, cold, dropping; very solid and impressive low light optics.

Got to compare them beside my 5X25X56 P4 S&B and while not the same, it is almost to close to call from inside the store, one thing is sure those are worth the price, took arrangement to have 2 kept until the Mtl show and no taxes sale, end of Feb.... one 2.5X10X50 and one 3X12X56, i will decide then wich one i will take, chances are big, i will take both, story to follow... JP.

I have the predator 4-14 (I think)scope, cant remember the magnification. I have had it for several months, the coating on the lens is great. I took it out to the bush in the early morning and playing with it. I also had with me a Leupold 4.5-14 vx3 and a Burris 2-12 Six-x. The scope might be made by Burris but the lense is way better, on the six x you loose the cross hairs in the dark patches where the peredator you can still see, the bush is also more diffined and crisper. I am not bashing the six-x it to is a great scope I have it on a back pack rifle where the predator is on a heavy rifle I use from a blind. I had to send the pedator back for waranty thats why I cant remember the magnification, the cross hairs were not level with the gun so when I started to shoot at distance the lower aim points would not work, the bullet was starting to drift off the paper at 300. The shop mounted it so at the time I did not notice. The lady at Stoeger Canada seamed nice and I should be getting my scope back shortly, or another one.

I am waiting for my Steiner military 5x25-56 with Msr reticle , I already have a SB 5x25-56 P4F, i will compare and let you know. Suppose to be here in March. I don't know about all the brand but the military line are made all in Germany.

Regards
Eric
