Anyone try painting/cerakoting their CC furniture?

Hey all,

With the recent release of the extremely limited number of CC green furniture sets, for all of us that didn't manage to get one, I was wondering if anyone had tried painting/cerakoting theirs, and with what sort of results. I know I know, it is blasphemous to do such a thing, but I am dying for that C7/C8 look, and there are several colours of cerakote that seem like they might be awfully close. Or maybe where people picked up other green furniture. Just wondering if anyone had tried it...Thanks.

It's not blasphemous at all. In fact if you paint your furniture you will be closer to a real C7/C8 than you think.
When I was deployed guys were coming back from their leave with tan painted furniture they picked up from CQs in KAF. Even the handguards on some early C8A3s were painted green. Or they may have been replacement, I'm not sure. Either way, painted furniture was a thing and it was in the system.
I'll look into it a little further and I'll probably be able to tell you what paint was used and where they came from (i.e. factory painted, painted by armourer, etc...)
I'm pretty sure I have a picture or two of some buddies with the tan painted stuff too.
 
On my last tour in 10-11, we had duracoat available to us before heading over.
I used Tan, brown and a bit of green.
There was not many green furniture around lol
