I was going through a couple of my reloading manuals looking for a powder for a .375 Win and I see A1680 mentioned in a couple of them.
Anyone have experience with powders from Accurate, or can we even get it in Canada?

Cheers

I've been chewing away at a 8LB can of #2 for about 10 years. I have a snappy, accurate load for 38spl and 158gr LSWCs. A little goes along way.

I also use AA2015 for several 223 loads. My cans are older, back when the designation was 2015BR. Superbly accurate and meters nicely.

I have in my stash AA2460, 2520, 2700, 3100 and 8700. Really like the 3100.
2700 is very close to W760.
Never used any of their pistol powders, though. Have others to use up first.
Regards, Eagleye.

Some of the powders made by Accurate are made in Canada--But go to the USA to be packaged and then brought back to Canada for sale
1680 is a very fine powder
Check out Accurate web site and they have a downloadable PDF of there data

"...made in Canada--But..." There's a lot of stuff like that. Some IMR powders are made in Quebec.
Used one of their 'No.' powders for .41 AE. 5, I think. Didn't go very far with the load developement. Finding suitable cast .410" bullets is a nightmare.

I use AA2230 in my .223 Rem, and my .308 win.
Works well in both.
I had a hard time finding it, so bought an 8 lb jug last time.

Same, but was unable to find a supply and switched to others.

AA1680 is supposed to be THE powder for the Hornet. Have some, but not tried it yet, gotta build the Hornet! :)

Cheers

Use 2230, 2460, 2520 and XMR4350. No complaints about any except for availability. 2520 is a great powder for lighter bullets in the 8 x 64S.

I have some surplus 2230 since I don't shoot 223 anymore. Previous poster said it worked well in 308. Has anybody else had success with it in 308. I know that 2230 shot the lights out in .223 with 50grn noslers.

Check Accurate Powder's website for 2230 in 308 data. Their data shows great velocity potential with 2230 in 308. Propellants that work well in the 223 usually work in 308's. Hodgdon's CFE-223 should be named CFE-308, great performance in 308, not bad in 223.

Been having great luck with AA2230, awesome in my 223 with 40gr vmax bullets. Getting just over half inch groups with thrown loads. Temp doesn't seem to throw it off too mush either.

Well, after today I'm going to say 2230 is a bolt gun powder because it's too fast to cycle my 20" AR15. Pressure drops too quickly causing short strokes with my 75gr BTHP hornady loads, accuracy was again, stellar besides that.
