Anyone use dry moly spray with BP?

ive started a thread in the blackpowder section which lead me to a search for more info...i though maybe the reloading section may be able to help.

basically, anyone use dry moly spray with black powder...reason, im using heeled bullets which when lubed can pick up grit after reloading. Im told dry moly wont pick up grit but...how does it deal with the fouling issues of BP?

Moly(dry) does not deal with black powder fouling at all, all it does is allow passage down barrel with little or no leading. BP fouling will become evident very quickly if not dealt with (proper lube), the moly will not help the bullet as it rides over dry BP fouling. In some cases fouling could make it impossible to get cases into the chamber, and accuracy falls off quickly. I would suggest you try to dispense with the moly and just use a lube cookie (BP Lube) behind the bullet.
