anyone use NATO x51 mm rounds in their 308

Only real difference is the hardness off the primers(and a few other small things) so ya its safe to use in a 308 some people say that 308 has a higher pressure then 7.62x51 but I never had problems substituting one for the other. I cant speak to the quality of tula ammo because I have never tried it but millions of people use it so it can't be that bad.

I have a few boxes of PMC marked both

Same round, perfectly interchangeable. Some commercial chambers are very tight and have some difficulty with more generous military surplus ammo. But as the US Post Office says, "If it fits, it ships". To the exact ammo in question, I have found all/most Russian 7.62/308 ammo to run very hot and I just don't use it any more, in any rifle.

I would be highly against using bimetal jacketed ammo in a match barrel as even mild steel wouldn't be good for a nice expensive barrel.
There are also many times some rifles (Savage and Browning most commonly from my understanding) don't have firing pin springs hard enough to set off harder NATO spec primers all the time.

I got a bunch of 7.62NATO ammo for free at the range once. Guy with a Browning rifle of some sort couldn't get more than 1 in 10 to fire. He was going to dump them all in the range brass bucket but I asked if I could try them in my Norc M14. He said sure, gave me the ammo, and all went off first strike in my rifle.
I have a box of Federal XM80C 149gr 7.62x51NATO I shot part of through my Rem 700VLS. Mediocre accuracy so I just put it on the shelf for future use in a less picky rifle.
