I want to have a rig like the one on thoses pics, its pretty sweet.

You can get the scope from Kalinka optics, they have an office in the states but I dont know if they ship to Canada ( I think there is a ban.....? )

Anyone know a smith who can mount such a setup properly ? I heard they can be tricky.

i like the look of the rig, but talked to kalinka and they are offset to the left, i would prefer to have a scope over center so i am still looking for a mount that will do that.

I found this --http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=12785&title=MOSIN+NAGANT+MILITARY+SCOPE+MOUNT--

100 USD and more it need an import permit I think, I'll check with questar,how much it will cost me.:redface:

Just got this reply from them;

Brownells will do that for you, contact their international department. You will need to supply them with an IIC (Import Certificate from Ottawa) and a “Purchase Order” which you can hand write for them. They will explain the process to you. They do this for their product sales… it takes several months but it’s much cheaper than if we do it.

Our fee for processing the permits and importing a “gun part” like that is $150 plus GST. As I said you’d be much better off to work with Brownells and do this yourself… takes longer but much cheaper.

Thats my site you linked to, lol

Anyways, yes, it is offset to the left, but it is pretty comfortable. As for mounting it... I just took it to a local gunsmith and he installed it for $60.

Kalinka sells side mounts that have weaver rails on top. I believe those sit lower and closer to the center of the bore.

Hope this helps
