so a search revealed a dead thread from 10/28/2010

found these scopes while lurking on ar15.com

Anyone bought/used one? looked through it? had a friend of a friend that knows a guy that once saw one?

where could a person find one if they were so inclined?
 
many thanks, where abouts is you order coming in from if you don't mind me asking?

I'm mostly interested in glass quality and price. I dislike the millet DMS, and am having a hard time finding any of burris's offerings or the Leupold ar series. just can't handle the price of an accupoint or acog either.

I don't have an order specifically for me. Phophet River has some on order. I've asked for a price and ETA and would finalize an order after that info is forwarded to me. I should have some more info soon.
 
We tried to order this through Nikon Canada however at the present time they will not import it or offer warranty for any models not imported through them. We are hoping that they will be available in the future. Phil.

It's funny with this scope as I met with the Canadian Distributor (Nikon Canada) at the Shot Show two years ago. I was introduced to two Japanese executives from Nikon and shown the prototype and asked about interest for the Canadian market. I responded "hell yes" but apparently this didn't translate properly into Japanese as they (NIkon Canada) felt there was not enough interest in AR 15's in Canada at that time. I was quite disappointed when I was advised they wouldnt be bringing it in. I will reopen this request for next year. Phil.

a budget priced mid range optic by a bigger name company? nope, couldn't be a market for something like that here..... hahaha.

thats a terrible shame that everything .223 is given the AR moniker, regardless or what it is, and that because they are a "restricted" item, we have no market interest for anything related to them.
 
Phil is bang on correct, I've shot this scope at a range in Long Island. Its a beautiful piece and comes with its own mounts for proper level and sighting but alas we have not had the chance to change the bosses minds to bring it in as a regularly stocked item yet.

Does Nikon offer anything that might be compatible to them? uh, preferably ones that we can find in Canada.
 
Prophet River has then in stock now. I shot a .223 with one on the 3rd of august. I was very impressed with it. The owner had it zeroed at 100 and then set it for 300 and it was dead on. Giving that he was using a 55gr factory load for it. But I know i will be getting one for my .223 when i get it.
 
Just picked one up this week. If anybody is interested I can post my review. I can only go to 50 yards at my range so review will be limited.
 
Got 2 from Prophet, one 1X4 M-223, set on my MR-1 and one 3X12X42 BDC M-223, set on my FNH TSR 223 , those are calibrated for the 223 bullet, my evaluation of those are very good scopes for a fair price, when in stock again, i will order some more... JP.
