Anyone used the Eotech 552.XR308 on their M14?

I'm mounting an Ultimak rail on my M14 and have decided to go with the Eotech, but I'm stuck on which reticle to go with. I am planning on doing some service rifle shooting and I think the XR308 reticle should help out to 500 yards, but I'm wondering how quick the reticle is to pick up compared to the A65? If I go with the A65 and use a 300 yard zero I might be able to just hold to the bottom of the ring for the 500 yard strings.

Thoughts?

Anyone use either of the above for longer range shooting?

I was going to go with that reticle but then I realized that two of the four dots were for 900 and 1.2 km which, for me, I felt I wouldn't use. Won't be shooting that far. Our range has 500 m max.
So I settled on the XPS3-2 which has two dots. At the moment it sits on an Ultimak rail and is sighted in for 200 and 300 m but I am in the process of changing it to 300 and 400m. You might want to consider that instead.

Yeah, I figured I will not need the holdovers for anything beyond 500, and they start at 600 on that reticle. Maybe the 2 dots would be the better choing for sure.
