Anyone used the FAB GL Shock stock?

Hey guys, thinking of buying the FAB built GL Shock stock and just wondering if anyone here has used one.

I'm normally so-so on Fab products but like the look and concept of this, and the price is right at about $90 from Wolverine. Planning on using it on a shotgun with an AR stock adapter and maybe the cheek piece version on a 5.56

I have one which i got from wolverine not too long ago. I threw it on shotgun with an AR stock adaptor but i haven't had a chance to shot it yet, I'll post a update when i have the chance.

Here is something that will help get an idea of the stock itself, the only review i found which gave useful information;

Im not sure about that stock but my dad has the GLR-16 which is similar but without the shock absorbing mechanism. I dont like it. The fit is terrible. It wobbles like crazy. Other then that its seems ok but, in my opinion, not worth what he paid for it. I have a Blackhawk Knoxx Specops on my 870. It is a great stock. Excellent build quality and the recoil reduction is amazing. Plus, it is much easier on the wrists because of the recoil reduction in the stock as well as pistol grip. You could shoot 3" magnum slugs all day.

Wow, great review! Thanks for posting. I'll probably pick it up based on that, but would still like to hear your shotgun impressions when you get to shoot it.

That review was the reason i bought a GL-Shock too, I question its usefulness on a .223/5.56 AR though (as shown in the review) if you decide to go that route.

It'll be a week or two before i can do a update/review FYI.
 
Agreed it's not as useful for the 5.56, but I'm looking for a cheek riser stock for the rifle, so if it's solid I'd get a second one, maybe without the shock absorber. The price is nice compared to a Magpul CTR and riser combo.

I've got some of their stuff, don't find it floppy but do find it overly plasticky compared to other brands.

Anyway, I bought one. If I don't like it I can always sell it for 10% more on the EE. :D
