Just got given a couple Tru-Line Jr. presses and 4 sets of dies to go with.

Anyone using these? I figure to set up one to use for my Hornet when I get that done.

As I understand it, the Tru-Line Jr. does a neck size only, so really not a heavy duty press, but should be good for what I want it to do.

I got a set of 300 Savage dies, looks near new in the box, a set of 7x57, 38 Spl., and 22 Hornet dies for them.
And a nice Lyman 45 Sizer came with!:D

There were two tru-lines made. The first only had two links so didn't have much leverage. The later version has compound leverage & can full length resize pistol cases only. These aren't heavy duty presses but are fine for their intended purpose.
Replacement turrets are available converting the press to use 7/8-14 dies which can be handy as 310 & Tru-line dies in some calibers can be tough to find, but I'd rather keep the original turret & just use a modern press for other calibers if I couldn't find Tru-line dies.
I recently bought a Tru-line Jr (thanks doublegun!) & really like it. It's a pretty neat little press.
If you can't find j shell holders,Lyman makes an adapter allowing the use of regular shell holders but it will reduce the clearance between the shell holder & the die.
Congratulations on your find, doesn't get better than that!

Saw a die plate for the Tru-Line Jr. on Ebay. Figure I'll make one if I need one. Same for the shell holder adapters. For them, I've read that one can turn off the bottom of a standard shell holder to fit the press. If I have to. :D

Got a source for a picture of an early vs. late one? Mine both have a pair of stamped steel links, one straight, one with an angle, that seems to fit the "compound leverage" description.

Neat little machines!

Memory is such a fickle thing!

I have one old, one new style linkage press. I was so sure they were both the same!
