Anyone Using H1000

Hey guys

I load and shoot 300RUM I usually load with Retumbo but been having trouble getting it this yr so I have decided to switch to H1000 just wondring if anyone is running it and how its been working

I'm interested too , cause I usually load my 300 RUM with IMR 7828. I have 2 pounds of H1000 that I want to experiment with. I have posted a thread some days ago for my 300 WM + H1000, and it seems to be a potent candidate.

I use it in my custom Corlane Sako 75 .300 RUM. 92 grains under a 180 Accubond in the Nosler brass gives 3300 fps in my 26" #3Gaillard barrel. This was the starting load in the Nosler #6 manual, but it looks like they backed off 2 grains in the #7 manual. In any case its plenty warm. Its stupidly accurate out to 800, never tried it farther yet.

H1000 is one of my fave powders, I use it a lot in the STW.

I actually use it in one of my 7x57's with 175gr pills. Velocity and accuracy are fantastic! Of course, now that I've found the load this rifle likes, I don't have anymore H1000. Story of my life...
