I have a few on the way for my SP01. They are the 10 round, blued version for the CZ75B.

Anyone using these mags and have a pic to send or post. Anyone using them for any pistol?

I hear the quality is good.
Is that the case? Do they have a decent base pad?

Thanks.

I've got some promags for my USP, they work fine - HK mags are wayyyy better but the promags were around 1/3 the cost.

Base pads are softer cheap plastic, but I havent broke any after dropping many times on concrete...

Promags are generally considered on the lower end of the spectrum.

That being said, I've been using 3 for my Ruger P series and they work perfect.

For aftermarket mags (non 1911), MecGar is the best.

For 1911, Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick (sp?) are considered the best.

Promags SUCK ass!!! the follower and basepads are made of cheap plastic materials. The ones i had were very unreliable. Also, the follower/basspad will melt if gunscrubber goes on it...! Stay away.

I had purchased a couple for my CZ85. They fit so tightly that I was afraid I was going to break the base getting them out. Needless to say I returned them and am waiting for Gunner to let me know when he will have some MecGar mags.

I ordered some for the CX-4 I never wound up getting. I sold them NIW to a member here, and he didn't later complain.

That being said, the first impression while still in the wrap was I should have spent more on MecGar.

I bought three for my Sig P220... I now only have two, as the feed lips bent on one very shortly after I bought it. Yes, it did cost half as much as a MecGar, but as it only lasted for two months....

My crusty old guy advice for you: The one portion of a semi-automatic firearm that WILL cause the entire machine to stop more often than any other: the magazine.

Spend the extra for quality!

Cheers,

Neal
