My go to powder is Red Dot or Green Dot depending on what i'm loading as a rule. Not being able to find either in the past few years I switched to Titewad(when I can find it) and 700-X. I dropped into Bass Pro to resupply the other day, no Titewad, but they had Titegroup. A quick search showed me 17-19 gr in Remington Hulls would put me where I wanted to be, picked up a pound to try. Last night I pull up the bushings chart and realize how dense Titegroup compared to Titewad, hence the question. Anyone run into stack issues with such a light volume charge(18.0gr) in Remington hulls and WAA12SL wads?

I ran into a similar problem, using Super Handicap powder (dense, like Titegroup). If you've been shotshell reloading for a while, you're likely already aware of this technique. So bear with me, if I'm repeating old news. To raise the shot column and get a good crimp, I simply inserted either a 20-gauge (If you're loading 12-gauge hulls) cork or felt wad into the shotcup, then dropped the shot in. Depending on shot size, this might take anywhere from a 1/8", to 1/4" wad. Occasionally, with very fine shot, I might also use an .030"-.035" overshot card. You may also have to make some minor adjustments at the final crimp station (I use a Mec, so easy to do). Cork wads are by far the most consistent. Though harder to find....even sheet cork, if you prefer to punch out your own. Felt is readily available and the one I use the most. You may observe that, since the mouth of the shotcup sits fairly low in the hull, the shot column tends to squeeze up past the mouth of the shotcup, to some degree. I didn't find this created too much of a problem with pattern density. A bit of edge dispersion, no more. Depending on the ranges you normally shoot, this may not cause any problems, at all.

I'm loading a hair under an oz in a Gun Club hull with 17.6 Titegroup and am using a claybuster wad CB 0178-12 (WAA12L) a 7/8 oz wad
Sort of the same idea as a cork or felt filler, just raising the bottom of the cup up.Same thing, peddles are a touch low.

I am new to shot reloading ;) Having fun and learning all the time.

I wasn't aware of the volume difference between the 2 when I picked it up, WAA12L or equivalent wads are damn near impossible to find out here. Not saying I've done this for a while, but when I started loading my pet powder was Winchester-Western 452aa. What I find stranger with this powder, no load data for Federal Paper, looking at the burn rate, it would seem like a great powder in that application.

Yes, I load Titegroup in 12g as well.
Used to do 1oz loads, now I run 7/8 loads (18grs, AA hulls, Claybuster WAA12L wad)
Had to adjust my Mec to the max because the powder charge doesn`t take up much space, like say 700X. Adjustments maxed out, it crimps fine now.

Having said that, I have been pleasantly impressed with Titegroup in 12g and will continue to use it.
