I just got back from Gunco in Ottawa. There's a C/A M1928A1 converted auto there in mint (and I do mean MINT) condition that's about to become a dewat unless someone buys it within the next few days. It's an Auto Ordnance made WW2 gun with US inspection marks AND commonwealth proofs, so it was likely a lend-leace gun, possibly Canadian service. Great wood, perfect metal, the whole bit. I want it SO BAD but am not grandfathered appropriately.

Aparently the owner is getting out of guns but will sell it live, or he'll dewat it. If anyone wants to save it, call Jason at Gunco in Ottawa. I have nothing to do with the sale, except to comment it would be a shame to see it welded up.

I *think* the seller wants $1500, but I'm not certain. Definitely worth a call if you want a nice C/A thompson.

remember gentlemen, the RCMP firearms analyst George Frasrer and the new CAFC Form 1023 will not allow #### and click dewats!!! So if this thing gets dewatted, it will be solid.

Man I wish I was grandfathered 12:3... He should donate it to a museum and not dewat it if someone does not buy it :(

thought it was maybe time to post a pic or two. pritty nice one, next to new. need some extras for it now.

Congrats Beater I hope buying that FS dagger helped you afford that?
When I read the first post I felt bile rising in my throat from fear and disgust.
I despair about what will happen when all the grandfathereds are to old to save pieces like this.

This is the closest I have come to a real Thomson

Look no Cutts compensator, used by the PA police and Pen guards.
