Anyone willing to loan a nice target/hunting rifle in Ottawa?

Hard pass for most I’d say, especially without more details. Is this day of shooting with your dad happening at a range or in the bush? Could see someone meeting at the range and allowing you to shoot their rifle while they supervise, definitely not if it’s some stranger and they expect to be handed a rifle and left to shoot on crown land alone.

I only have two friends that I’d allow that scenario to happen and only then because they both would make good if anything were to happen to the rifle, I personally wouldn’t want to borrow anyone’s gun unless it was a dedicated loaner rifle and not their personal hunting/target rig.

Oh and I’d expect more than a 6 pack of beer, hell When my mechanic loaned me a tool or did me a solid and sold me a part for a good deal he got a case or a 40oz on top of the price of the part. You’re not going to entice anyone with that 6 pack, well maybe for a savage axis you will lol.

I don’t even loan friends firearms. The liability is too great if someone hurts themselves.

Well, I've loaned (and borrowed) many firearms with (trustworthy) friends and family. I've let strangers take a few shots with some of my guns while I was at the range, or hunting.
- But loaning a "nice target/hunting rifle" to some random stranger?!?!... That would be a big no in my book.

I won't lend out but we could meet and have a nice day at the range together. You can keep your beer, I just need a dozen of Krispy Kreme Original donuts and large black Timmy.

Would you have to phone up and have his PAL verified to loan him the gun?If so it would seem to be a lot of trouble to go through for a six pack to let two guys you don t know borrow a nice gun ,kind of stupid to even ask on here especially with no trader rating and a handful of posts
