Im looking into getting a m2 tactical..with either the 18inch bl, or most preferablly the 14inch entry model. does anyone have this .or know if its even possible getting a 14 barrel from benelli into canada? anyone have a m2 please post pics if you can. and the people ive talked to (gunshops) said they had no idea that benelli made a 14inch barrel, they have no idea if they can get it. also ive been quoted pretty close to 2000cdn bux for it. is this right ? thats the same price of an m4.

im a big fan of the m1super90 and with no prohib lic. is this the closest i can get to one?

I used to think the same thing.

Correct me if I am worng but the Benelli M1Super90, by another name goes by Benelli M1 Field or something like that and is not prohib, nor restricted. so you can get one.

Somebody please clarify as I ma digging deep into my brain on this one.

Well the LE version is called the M1S90. The civi version is the Sporting Special although I believe that the receiver is marked M1 Super 90.It was marketed as a "Turkey Gun".Mine has the ghost ring sights and regular stock(not the pistol grip version). The 14" barrel is a restricted item on a semi in Canada meaning the shotgun changes to a "restricted" weapon, it is a NFA class item in the US as well, meaning that the shotgun is registered as SBR or AOW. (Short barreled rifle) or (Any other weapon). The price I paid was about $2000 for my M4.Back, several years ago the M1 Sporting Special went for about $1200.

I had an M2... I wanted to do the exact same thing.

Stoeger Canada is the only ones who can do this... BUT!!! Stoeger Canada thinks that it is PROHIBITED in Canada to do so, so they do not order any M2 Tactical's or barrels for the tactical.

It sucks... maybe someone out there (Sponsors??) could contact Stoegers Canada and get set them straight.

~Cheers

well im glad im not the only one here thinking outside the box, about the m1 field, you cant get a short barrel for it from what i hear, yes i am actually looking for the 14inch barrel more than the 18inch tac version.

i really like the look and feel of the fabarms 14inch martial they have, but it is a pump, and there sat8 semi from what i hear is not available with a 14barrel.
and if i was going to pay that much for a shotgun i would want it to be benelli. also looking for that entry style kind of gun.

i do have restricted, although why would the m2 tac. wiht 14inch with normal stock be restricted when the fabarm martial 14inch and normal stock is non-restricted i thought if the total overall length was under, not if the barrel is under.

if any of my facts are wrong, please dont rip me a new one, most if not all the facts i get could be wrong, and yes i just admitted i could be wrong.

thanks again for replies guys

Actually its a easy answer. The M1S90 is a "auto" and therefore restricted to a 18.5" barrel length. The "pumps" on the other hand can have "any manufactured barrel" length, so long as the overall minimum length is maintained.

ah right ok, i had a blonde moment

forgot all semis with short barrels are restricted

still no big deal
thanks all for the replies guys
