WOW! I have not been able to find an IZZY with a matching mag.
1953 Izzy refurb, but as far as I can see the only thing not all matching is the laminate stock. Low serial number too. I purchased this sometime in the mid 90’s when Russian models were few and Chinese SKS’s dominated the market.

I haven't followed the 53 Izzy much, but yours looks iffy. Although my 53 is heavily refurbished (forced matched bolt and carrier) The serial number on receiver, receiver cover and trigger are the same. That means the complete serial number not just the numbers. And even though the bolt and carrier are forced matched they are engraved with complete serial number. Yours do not match completely. Also compare the way the receiver is stamped and compare that to the others (0 is different). Nice looking carbine though.

The '53 pictured is 4th from the left in the group pic. Has all the features of a '50 Tula. I think the initial Izhevsk production may have been a combination of Izhevsk and existing Tula parts.
I'll have to do another group pic, I actually have 11 Izzys.
