hmmm. no traction. I wonder why, they're fairly priced.

they're not so new now...been on the market 2 or 3 years now. original issues with getting them into Canada was advertised speed on the packaging, putting them into firearm category.
that said, yes, they're available, even sponsors on here have had them for sale.

Ah, got it. They are not so new any more, in fact in some places they seem to have come and gone and not been restocked. Cabelas has the 226 and Canada Shooting Supply has others. I have seen the 320 at Bass Pro quite cheap. Regarding the MCX/MPX, I asked the RCMP about those when they first came out and was told one of them (I forget which) would be Restricted as it looked a bit like a (scary...) Anyway, they get mixed reviews and those with the belt mags (320 and the rifles) can be problematic. I could be tempted by the 226 at the right price (or 250 which is cheap enough anyway) but the problem with them all is fixed sights meaning it is pot luck if you happen to get a good one that actually shoots where you aim.
