Anyone work on 2289? (Vancouver B.C)

Well I purchased a kit that includes new valve and piston as well as a pressure regulator. I hate to admit this but I attempted to take apart my 1st 2289 and managed to #### it up to the point where it could not be put back together. Anyway I really don't want to repeat my mistake and am hoping that someone on here might be willing to perhaps show me how its done properly?

Is this the "flat top" piston kit and where are you having trouble with the reassembly?
