Hello,
My dad passed and my mom has his old .357 crosman pellet gun but it leaks out and I want to buy her a new one. She shoots it at deer that get in the fence, wood peckers on the house etc. She likes it and it somehow makes her feel better. Should I just buy her a new one or is there anything like it that is better?
Thanks,
Ryan

Replace the seal first. Keeping a CO2 cylinder in there over any length of time allows it firstly to leak, then impresses a memory into the seal, making any future cylinder leak.

If there's sentimental value, you can probably get it repaired at D&L airgun. A lot of the older ones are built better than new air guns these days except for the high end new ones.

They can be resealed for pretty cheap. But keep the her shooting at deer with a underpowered pellet gun to a downlow.. She could be charged with animal cruelty.
