After the recent Frontier price hike (8.5 cents after tax and shipping for 9mm:runaway: ) I’m wondering if there are any copper plated/FMJ bullets that are now cheaper than Frontiers?

nope.. seems like a great price. I get JHP for $76 per 1000.. so $68 per 1000 on CMJ seems decent.

Yes there are cheaper plated bullers, but then you get what you pay for.....

Do a search here for Excel and read the comments.....

Excel's are good enough for practice and plinking. If you need match ammo, I use Montana Gold or any of the other premium brands. If you shoot your Beretta, Excel bullets will work fine. I have shot them with both my 92 and 96 Elite 2's and my Billennium. They can be as low as $50 a 1000 with quantity and are in Toronto.

yeah but they used to be $55 :(

Ancient history.

The price increase is due to the increase in prices of the base materials.

Now back to the topic.

We have Excel for practice. But I've found them too inconsistent and out of round. Not a good purchase.

You need quality of practice not quantity.

I know, I know, hosing is fun too.
