Has anyone tried to duplicate a mauser style extractor?

Why would I ask such a redundant question when mauser style extractors are still readily available?

Two words, Spanish Destroyer.

Those extractors are as rare as a gun friendly Lib!

So, if there's anyone out there that has tried the mauser style perhaps we could talk about the smaller brother??

I don't have enough memory to answer your question properly, I do know of a gunsmith that was installing a Mauser style extractor (but slightly smaller), can't remember the make of the extractor or what rifles my friend was putting it on.

I may just have to wish him holidays, and quiz him up and revisit this post.
 
Aren't some a 93 mauser clone? The other style is like a cheap BA .410 The Basque had a cottage industry where different groups made different parts and then then had to be hand fitted to make a functional gun.Did you try Numrich ?
 
There's a cult like following on these and no one has a source so getting one made is the only option.

I have one on hand to duplicate if anyone can do it!
