Anyway to install a gas check without a sizer.

Looks like I actually need to gas check the ce harris 7.62 X 39 and I did not buy a sizer is there anyway to get hornady gas checks to work without running them through a sizer?

Lee has a lube and sizing kit which works in any "C" or "O" press, inexpensive, available in .308 to .311, instals gas checks. How did you intend to lube?

Some years back, I wanted to shoot unsized bullets, with a gas check.
What I did, was drilled an old set of pliers that had a wire cutting attachment on the side.
I clamped the pliers shut in the vise, and drilled it in the middle of the wire cutters to the diameter of a properly crimped gas check. I figured it wouldn't work, that I'd never get it centered, but surprise, it worked very well.
The hardest part was making sure that the gas check was straight on the bullet before crimping.

The bullet/gas check fit differs on all bullets/checks some can be put on by hand and they sit straight everytime...others not...just make sure they are on straight or you'll get flyers everytime.
