Howdy,

I just picked up the APC223, finally a quality rifle in my collection. Many fine pistols but nothing this high end in the rifle department. All I can say is I'm extremely excited.

Now I'm getting mixed information out there, and I've put out the question to B&T Swiss, waiting on an answer. But I'm curious if any of you are firing 5.56. I see them listed for sale with both calibres listed.

Can't wait to dress her up too, pics coming.

European guns that are labeled 223 can fire 556 because they class it off CIP not SAAMI standards

Slippery slope with the B&Ts. I started off with a GHM9-g and ended up adding the APC223 and APC308, and a very annoyed wife. Amazing products.

It is odd to me that the APC308 doesn’t need this, but the APC223 does. Odd change to make to one caliber only. Wonder if it really is a Canada thing, or if one of the states requires it? Weird.

I’ve heard that’s because the APC223 can be modified to be fully automatic with another lower. While the APC 308 was designed as a semi auto only thus allowing both pins to be removable since an automatic lower doesn’t exist. I could be wrong on the details though
