I was wondering if anybody has any experience with the peep sights offered by
New England Custom Gun. I have a Ruger M77 in 30-06 that I would like to try it on. If anybody has tried it did you have to go with a higher front sight?
Would there be any trouble in ordering this from the US? If so does anybody know where I could order one in Canada?
Thanks
Dan

No experience there, but FWIW Williams Gun Sights makes a peep sight for the M77, which would almost certainly be in stock at Western Gun Parts in Edmonton.

The Williams is sturdy, nicely adjustable, and light.

"...have to go with a higher front sight?..." If an aftermarket rear sight needs a different front sight, the manufacturer, usually says so or sells them as a set. Mind you, since New England's web page says they don't know if you'll need another front sight or not, I'd pass on their stuff and go with a William's sight. http://www.williamsgunsight.com/
Ordering stuff from the States can be a crap shoot. The people at New England Custom Gun should tell you if they'll even sell to you. U.S. export laws have gotten nutso since 9/11.

If you're going with a Williams and you think you'll have a hassle getting it to Canada, buy it from Western Gun Parts in Edmonton, a little easier than trying to get stuff from south of the border.
