I know there are a bunch of threads on this topic.

If you had difficulty getting this item shipped to Canada, I have some useful information for you.

Even though it does not appear on Brownells website, they do have it in stock.

Part number is 100-008-892.

Just call the order line and quote the part number.

I talked to customer service and informed them about it not being on the website. Hopefully it will change soon.

In the meantime, you can still order it by phone.

Hope this information helps.

Chris

Unfortunately I just received an email from Brownells which reads as follows:

Thank you for your recent order. This order is on hold and will require
an export license before it can be shipped. The export license approval
process will take 30-45 days once the paperwork is received from you and
the application is submitted.

Please review the attached documents.

Required Documents:

-- The original or a certified copy of your import certificate/permit

-- A written purchase order on your letterhead stationary; According
to the State Department the purchase order needs to include: the
foreign party end-user name and complete address. Documented on
the purchase order you will need to specify the t ype of firearm,
caliber, quantity, dollar value and make/model. The purchase
order must be directed to Brownells as the suppler/distributor.
If this information is not included the export license application
will be denied. YOUR SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED.

-- End User Statement: Under the rules and regulations by our state
department as outlined by the International Traffic Arms
Regulations, ITAR, we need an end-user statement. The end-user
statement can be placed on your purchase order or sent on a
separate letterhead. YOUR SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED.

Please forward the end-user statement along with your written purchase
order, import certificate/permit and if required, the DSP83 end-user
certificate. The DSP83 form and end-user statement are two different
documents required by our state department, thus ITAR.

All documents must be mailed to Brownells. Original signatures are a
requirement of our Department of State; they will not accept fax or
e-mailed copies.

The DSP83 Form is needed if your order contains an SME or regulated
items:
Our state department is now requiring a completed DSP83 form for any SME
or regulated items. Please complete the attached DSP83 form; this
document will also need to be mailed to us and signed.

contact, please see the following information:

Just not worth it in my opinion,

sorry for the false hope

Why not try it?

...Just not worth it in my opinion

I'll tell you what: how about you apply to DFAIT for the IIC <http://www.international.gc.ca/controls-controles/about-a_propos/impor/IIC.aspx?menu_id=14&view=d>.

It's free. The last one that I applied for was issued and emailed to me in one day. (Then you have to hit print.)
Once you have the printed IIC in hand,
complete a Brownells (paper) order form,
a DSP-83 end-user form <http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/licensing/documents/DSP_83.pdf>,
and a cover letter to Brownells (explaining what you're ordering and how and by whom the product will be used).

Mail all of the above to Brownells, and Brownells will then apply to State for the Export Permit. When it comes, Brownells ships.

All you really have to do is wait.

About the $100 limit...does the order have to be below $100 before shipping and applicable taxes or is it a $100 all in maximum price?

Regardless, it's too bad, I've been thinking about one of these trigger kits but I'm not sure I want to deal with all the paper work.

Strange that it doesn't show on the Brownells site right now, I looked it up less than two weeks ago and they had it listed for less than $100($94-96 or thereabouts if I remember correctly). Maybe I should have tried to order one then.

You are talking about the Competition and Duty Kit for just under $100. The trigger kit is more and has been for sometime.

Take Care

Ahh yes, right you are. The competition kit is the one I was looking at buying. First though, I am going to shoot my M&P a bunch to see how I like the stock trigger, it doesn't seem too bad during a few hundred dry fires so far.

What I got with the competition kit is a much lighter trigger pull sub 3#'s and a very fast reset, about 3/8th of an inch. The trigger does get much better with use.
