Has anyone been able to get these here? I asked through their website a few days ago but never received an answer as to whether they could ship to Canada.

On request, Brownells will special-order items not cataloged. After you request the item, their special-order person will contact you with a price and an estimated delivery time; if you confirm that you want the item, the order is processed. (In this particular case, because the value is over US$100., they will advise you that you'll also need to get an IIC from DFAIT.)
Special orders - Still can't find what you need? Call us at 800-741-0015, and our customer support team will special order it for you.

I ordered straight from Brownell's the Competition kit. Less than $100 shipped straight up. feels great, light trigger a world of difference. You can also get the duty carry if you want more resistance in your trigger pull.

I did not get their actual trigger though.... just everything else.

Is the competition kit similar to the forward set sear kit? Does your trigger still have lots of take up before it breaks?

Yes.

I put the kit in my PRO and it lightened the trigger to 3#'s. Once you hit the sear the gun goes bang. The reset I found is much shorter. I then installed the Pro parts in my FS M&P and with the Apex sear the pull is down to 4#s. Not quite as fast a reset but very close with virtually no take up. I may put the PRO's sear in the Fs to bring the trigger back up over 5#s for IPSC Production. The gun would have all S&W parts in it.

Aside from the reduced power of the trigger spring the FPB in the APEX kit is well rounded resulting in a very smooth and lighter trigger.

The Duty Kit would give you the same results only with a +5# trigger.

Take Care

^^What he said^^

You still have the same amount of take up, although it's so smooth you don't notice it. When the trigger stops it's gonna go bang. Reset is as stated, Shorter and more noticeable. Double taps are effortless.
