Quick question. on the RCMP or CFC website where you check the status of your application, is the received on date messed up all the time? I just checked mine and it said received on 2000-10-12.....I sent it in the end of
January.

Are you upgrading from a Pal to an Rpal maybe? If so, it could be showing the date from your original Pal, and your new application hasn't posted yet? I am upgrading and when I checked a few days ago it only showed my original Pal from 3 years ago( the date it was issued) , now it has updated to my new application, just a thought?

I applied for my renewal in November as my license expired in January. I have PAL,RPAL and 12.5 Prohib class. I applied online. After around 4 weeks I inquired as to the status of my renewal. All they could tell me at the federal level was that the local CFO had my application and it could take 4-6 months for them to evaluate my application. I was told that my 12.5 class was OK as I had an application in the system before my license expired. I waited for a few more weeks and emailed the federal office (which I never got a response from) and called again, to be told that my application was still being evaluated. Finally, in January, I went to the local CFO office and was told that my application was on hold because the national was waiting on a purpose of ownership (range membership). I then faxed my 2 range memberships and called a few days later to see if it had been received. They still could not tell me at the national if my info had been received. Finally, I went back to the local CFO for info and was told, after checking, that my license had just been approved and all I had to do was wait for it to show up in the mail. A couple of days after I received my license, I got a letter from the national asking for my range membership. This system sure works as a well oiled machine.
