Application Status Check Site - Uppercase or lowercase?

Hey everyone,

New here, but been lurking for a few months. Finally passed my course last weekend and had my application arrive in Miramichi early last week (haven't sent my stamped course results yet, figured I'll send it when I get them).

I've read somewhere that usually it only takes 1-2 days lately for a received application to show up online. It's only been 3 or 4 business days but mine isn't up yet, and I know this was common in the past.

Basically I'm wondering if there's any trick to using the application status site? It's not showing up yet, and I've heard someone mention it needs to be case sensitive.

Should I go all lowercase on my name, all uppercase?
With my city of birth, I tried "Charlottetown" and "CHARLOTTETOWN". So same question, is it typically all uppercase.. or proper "Charlottetown"?

I'm probably overthinking it, but want to make sure I'm entering it right haha. I'm sure it just needs a few more days, but figured I'd ask.

All the help is appreciated!

I just went through the process and mine took 40 days to appear online after they received the application. But don't let that get you down. It was processed and issued 6 days after that. The website says their service standard is 45 days for an application, so mine was in check with that at 46 days. As for upper/lowercase, I just typed in everything normal. Meaning the first letter of my name and city in upper, and the rest in lower. Hope that helps.
 
Ahhh, okay. How long ago did you get yours if you don't mind me asking?

When it did show up, were the dates that appeared proper? Did it retroactively go back and said "Application received on X date" and the date there was the actual day it was delivered?

Many thanks for your response! I was hoping it'd show up sooner, because I totally overthink things and worry that it got delivered to the wrong place or something until I get that confirmation. Haha.
 
Here is my timeline,

May 1st passed CFSC (day 1)
June 4th received stamped test results (day 35)
June 8th application received in Miramichi via Xpresspost (day 39)
July 18th credit card charged and application shows online initial processing completed (day 79)
July 24th application processed and card issued. (day 85)

I paid the extra money to send my application Xpresspost which had tracking and required a signature because I didn't want to deal with the concerns you are having. The date it arrived and was signed for was accurate when it appeared online. I know its hard to be patient but you should prepare yourself for at least the standard 45 day wait.

Ok cool. Yeah I went Xpresspost as well. Totally ready for 45 days, actually have convinced myself it'll be likely 90+ days or so, so I'm not worried there.
Was more just wanting to see if it'd show up online as received any time shortly after it was ACTUALLY received for some peace of mind, if you know what I mean. Haha.

Now that I know it doesn't show up until later in the process, I'm not so worried. Appreciate the help!

If anyone else has other experiences, any other info would be appreciated. Think this answers most of it though.
 
I find these threads are like googling symptoms..:eek: It's been about 4 weeks and I haven't shown up online, and reading these forums I'm now scared I won't get it for a year.
 
To answer the original question, I have been using all lowercase letters for the status check info and my application shows up just fine. I doubt it is case-sensitive.
 
Their current processing times are running 35-40 days. My girlfriend's application took 38 days from date of receipt to when it showed online and charged the credit card.

The status login page is not case sensitive. I can actually enter my city's name as cityNAME1234 and it still works.

If your card has been charged, cheque cashed, etc. and you still can't get onto the site, give them a call. Sometimes they put your name or city name into the system wrong.
