Just wondering about the approval process on getting ones PAL. How long till when you check on your application do you get something other then

is this the 29 day waiting period?

I'm just wondering as I've had some interesting accidents or waits on paperwork like the time my Income tax assessment ended up going down to South America, Argentina to be exact or the paper work sitting in a Client Mail Inbox for the past 6 months still trying to get it processed and getting annoyed about it.

I had my application Express Posted due to my poor delivery history with Canada Post so I know its there Just worried yet more of my paperwork ended up in suspended animation.

Once they get it, that'll change to something else about a week later. The waiting period starts when they recieve it, so no worries. Just keep checking everyday at least 3-4 times until you see something different. You can keep checking as much as you want, but don't be surprised if it's in your hand before the site says that the license has been granted.

Me and my friend sent ours in together in the same envelope. After one week it showed in progress. Then our references were called within one day of each other. Then it was in Status 173 for 3 days. My friends showed complete and licence issued on the 28th day. Mine still shows in progress and is at day 32 today:confused:

Checked out my application only took 4 business days or 6 days from delivery for me to find this message
Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

So hopefully everything will check out and I'll get my licenses in a few weeks and then I get my GUNS :dancingbanana:

My instructor told me not to expect anything for 29 days anything after that I'd get worried. But some people have told me that their application was processed and they had their license in 3 weeks others up to the full 45 days.

Wishful thinking seeing how I'm in Toronto.
They are probably contemplaiting if they should call the ETF prior to opening up the evelope.:runaway:
 
could be they are just looking and laughing thinking

Does this guy really expect us to grant him his license with miller in office the saps just gonna waste his money.

or

Contact miller we got a gun application he might be after him.

hope fully neither but this is the government so who knows they just might be doing this to make you sweat a little.
 
That message will be there for the full 45 days.
It has now gone back to the CFO in Ontario and will stay there till the last day.
Just happened to me a few months back.
Have fun waiting.
