I have an old Beretta 1935 (M/35), 7.65 browning. It was manufactured in 1941 by the Italians to fill an initial order placed by the Finnish army for 1,000 units. It is in very good condition with all the correct proof stamps. Everything matches. The Finnish Army placed two orders for the M/35 pistols during WW2, both of them in 1941. The first order for 1,000 pistols arrived late 1941. The second order for 4,000 pistols proved problematic and only 3,092 were delivered by late 1942, the remaining pistols (bit over 900 pistols) the Italians replaced by delivering M/34 pistols instead. During the Continuation War Finnish front-line troops and home front troops used Beretta M/35 pistols. By 1951 some 2,091 M/35s remained. They remained warehoused until mid-1980's. Finally year 1986 most of them were sold and only small amount were still kept for uses that demanded an easily concealable pistol (couriers etc).
In the American market, a good WWII era M/35 will fetch about $500. The same seems to retails here for about the same. This particular pistol is about the rarest type produced. What is it worth? Thoughts?
Sorry about the spelling mistake in the title! It's Finnish, not Finish.
