Anyone aware of any possible makers or sites foreign or domestic selling the .308 version of the rubber a cytosine wedges that eliminate rattle between upper and lower receivers? Very popular with 5.56 carbines but haven't been able to locate any for .308
Cheers
(No the 5.56 ones do not fit the AR-10)

If you really find the rattle annoying enough to warrant the wedge, try one of these 10cent options:

Separate the upper/lower. Degrease the top of the lower above the takedown pin. Cut a 1" long strip of electrical or duct tape (depending on how much play there is) into strips just thinner than the wall thickness of the lower. Stick the strips to the lower above the takedown pin. Reattach the upper and no more rattle.

If you want a more permanent option, you can use JB Weld or similar instead of tape. Let the rifle sit with the JB Weld for around 4.5hrs before separating the upper/lower. The JB Weld will be pliable and you can clean up the edges using a utility knife. Just make sure you use enough release agent on the upper and lower sides so you don't get the two receivers stuck together or squeeze out that you can't easily clean up. Then again, you won't have to worry about the rattle. Look up how to bed a rifle and the technique for cleaning up and prep are identical. The drawback to this option is that you might run into problems attaching tighter fitting uppers if you run multiple uppers on the same rig. :p

In both instances, you want to run the tape or JBWeld just slightly up the curve to remove any front to back slack as well as side to side rattle.

OP - which AR10 upper/lower are you looking at fixing? Obviously you're working at accuracy/precision and I'm curious to know which high end (my assumption here) combo requires a wedge.
I wouldn't say high end by any means but I'm working on a new Armalite AR-10 Target from wolverine. I've used the 5.56 version of the above mentioned product and enjoyed the results so Would have liked to see something similar for the .308
Thanks for the suggestions fellas

I would steer clear of JB weld or any other modification that resembles a 'bedding' on an AR - be that a 15 or a 10, unless of course you are looking to permanently bugger up your receivers - if so, have at 'er.
Something simple like an earplug or other compressible material that gives the pin a bit of tension so as to eliminate play is one thing, if you have to hammer or otherwise use mechanical leverage to get your pins out, it is too much and not at all required.

Another option is to buy a soft-tipped set screw, drill and tap a hole in your lower to accommodate the set screw and use the set screw as a tensioning screw like some lower receivers have.
