+1 on the mag problem.
The DPMS units are accurate, but the FTF flaw is a chronic and 'fatal' one.
I have owned two, the first used the POS plastic mags, and even the second one with the metal mags had the same issues...it was gone before I received my certificate in the mail!
You also might want to consider, as I have, the Rock River units through
Questar...I have owned all of the ABCD makers...Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt, etc, and the Rock River units seem to be everybit as good.
Just my $0.02 worth.

Aren't the mags interchangable? or is the problem with how the bolt picks up the round or the feed ramps?
The only difference was the mags (metal vs. plastic) and I believe they are
interchangeable....It didn't seem to fix the problem, so your guess is as good as mine.

equally

I've had both (still have the Armalite AR10T4)

My DPMS was an 18" bull barrel version.

It actually had less felt recoil (was front heavy) and I
didn't have any mag issues with it (I had the metal ones).

I sold it only because I couldn't justify having two in 7.62
and I had a ton of mags for the Armalite.

That being said, I did suffer chambering/extraction issues with
my Armalite (which did arise from weak mag springs and followers).

I'd feel well equipped with either.

To add: I always have liked the port door on the Armalite, which
the DPMS didn't have...

The Mags are not interchangable between the Armalite or the DPMS AR10's each use it's own proprietary mag .It has been a on going issue with the design of the DPMS/Knights SR25 mag as to functionality.
