ARmike,

you have uncovered pure gold. Thanks for posting.

? that has been floating around AR15.com awhile. It's on Youtube as well.

But I guess not everyone goes to those sites......

That is part 1. There is a part 2 as well.

Great revolutionary rifle. The only flaw is the heat resistant foam inside the handguard which tends to dry up, crack and fall apart over time.

Nice find. Too bad the rifle didn't see more widespread acceptance. It was one of few full-caliber 7.62 mm battle rifles that was effective in full auto.

Great vid!

One of the selling points was that "with the patented bolt and bolt carrier assembly, the AR10 has eliminated the offset structure and added weight of the long operating rod and piston found in conventional automatic weapons". Isn't it odd that nowadays we're going back to the piston system (HK416) that the AR10 was supposed to revolutionize? And some tests reminded me of a vid about the testing of the HK416...

I have some questions for you experts:

- Do you know why the modes on the selector have changed locations?

- Why the modern bolt carrier has a gas key and the old one didn't (it seems like it was machined in as a part of the carrier)?

- Why most of cases ejected rearward and the last cases ejected forward when firing auto?
