AR-15 16" HBAR... What ammo?

Hey guys,

I've got an Armalite M15A4 with a 16" HBAR and I'm wondering what weight I should be putting down the barrel. I can get 1000 rounds of 55gr fairly cheap but should I be looking at a heavier weight? Not sure how to tell what would work best aside from word of mouth or just trying them all... I believe the twist rate is 1:9...

I'd use 55gr. for 1:9

If you can get 55gr fairly cheap, then I'd get it. It'll probably be a little while before ammo prices go back down.

55-69 gr as said above. The 1:9 twist is basically the ideal twist to shoot cheap commonly available ammo well.
