Hey all, purchased my AR-15 a couple days ago and just waiting on paperwork.

It was a tough call between a Bushmaster OR model, or the one i got, a CORE 15.
Anyone have experience on the rifles?

Any suggestions on cost effective sights in red dot? :ar15:

cheers

Nice!
I would recommend a Vortex Sparc or Strikefire for a budget RD...BUT wait a few weeks for the gen2 stuff to come out: they have some critical improvements, especially the on/off switch :)

If you want to spend a few more $$$ get a Aimpoint PRO.

I've got an NC Start red dot on another rifle i own.. Though i can't seem to the thing adjusted correctly. I have the windage cranked and it isn't even close. Think its a mounting issue? I actually returned the first scope to the shop and had it replaced, but same deal. =\

I'll shoot some pix up when i get the rifle to my door, just picked up a bungee single point sling for it. Gonna get into some AR/Pistol tactical shooting.

Burris fastfire is a decent dot. Since aimpoints are really not that much more I would recommend one of those. Very durable. long battery life, and mounts are easy to find and everywhere

because they're profitable?

You get what you pay for with NCStar, the sturdiest part is the box it comes in. Before anyone chimes in with a "but I've shot 38 rounds out of my 22 fleafart without any problems so they must be awesome" responses, I have tried a few and decided that the old saying "you buy quality once" is in fact....correct.
