pictures of the extractor and bolt face.

The ejector moves freely from full extension to full compression (flush with the bolt face)

For those wondering about the pics in post 21.. I had to right click and select "Open Image In New Tab" to get them to show... best of luck.

Any idea where i could get a weaker spring? The gas system is non adjustable.

The hole itself from the barrel can be larger than standard, allowing more gas to escape. Other than TIG and re-drill, I don;t know if there is an adjustable block available

weaker springs can be found in pens, hardware stores, auto parts stores etc. remove what you have and measure compressed length, and relaxed length.

Then use a pan with lead shot to find out how many #7.8 balls it takes to fully compress... then go shopping with the pan and some lead balls :)

Musing out loud, worst case, get a spare gas tube, and CAREFULLY restrict the flow of the one you have with a small crimp to decrease the gas volume.... but I would only attempt this if all else fails.

Oh believe me the thought crossed my mind more than once. It may happen. Going to try another bcg and if that doesnt work i will use it to hang flower pots or maybe use it as a backstop for my other firearms for an afternoon.

I finally managed to get this pig cycling properly. To make a long story short, the chamber was the culprit as it was out of spec from the factory. I honed the chamber using an 800 grit Flex-Hone for 5.56 and that solved 95% of the issues. I put about 80 rounds through it the other day with the Norinco BCG and had 2 failures to extract. I then swapped the BCG for a DPMS BCG and ran it through another 40 rounds of 5.56 and 40 rounds of .223 without any failures. Figured I would post this so that if anybody else is having this issue, it is something to consider.

Hoping you solved the problem. The fix seems aggressive to me and you may have written off the warranty...

If it still occurs (fte) or have occasional light strikes (ftf), rather than investing in more replacement parts, have a smith run "Go" & "No Go" gauges through the chamber. It will confirm if the chamber is within tolerances, including headspace.
