Just got a Bushmaster Carbon 15 - 9mm. Came with a Fab Defense quardrail on it, and it has quite a bit of play. What is up with that. This is my first AR and I have read that this isn't that uncommon but just wondering if there is any thing I can do.

Fab defense is generally crap. The wobble is common with low end gear and especially rails that aren't free float. As to a fix, I'm not sure there's much you can do. You could try removing it and re mounting it.

I've had good success using automotive gasket sealant to get the handguard wobble out. Take the handguards off & put a bit where the handguard meets the handguard cap & delta ring.
Look at the auto parts section at Canadian Tire & you'll find the stuff. It's great because it won't start to burn when the barrel heats up. I think the stuff I used was good to 400 degrees.
Hell, my Swiss Arms Carbine had wobbly handguards & it was crazy expensive.
