Ar-15/m16 p.e.p.r.

I ordered my PEPR off eBay, got the one with quick detach levers and it came with two different upper rings, one set is smooth and the other have 1913 rails. Cost me $60 less than the local shop wanted for the same one including shipping.

They are awesome mounts, you will like it:)

I have both the Pepr mount and the American Defense mounts...wouldnt buy another Pepr...just spend the extra to get the best one.

1. Why?
2. If you don't need QD the pepr mount is fine. Many people use it, do a quick search on ar15.com. Btw, target is out of stock on the 30mm mount.

I actually prefer the look and price of the PEPR mount. That being said I like the quick release one, not the older model. The quick release works well, stays tight and is adjustable. Plus you can rotate the quick release arms either forward or back. As a result I've been able to use in on the RFB without having to put the mount on backwards. I like the Warn style rings of the American Defense mount. But I'm not so found of the way it goes forward. It doesn't look solid enough, although I'm sure it is. I like the American Defense one, but the Burris product is very good, especially for the price.

Some pictures of the P.E.P.R on my Tavor and RFB. Note that I prefer the look of the smooth ring tops.

There are 3 main styles for the ADM mounts. You happen to show one that is the 'Stretched' version.
Some come with 20moa built in. Some have high rings. There are single quick release models, etc.

The first one looks good. But does it put the scope forward enough for an AR?
The second one no doubt works really well but the looks bother me.

the ADM is much more solid. It loosened up significantly after a few hundred rounds. I have put lock tite on it but have not put it back on since. The PEPR i have is the QD model.

PEPR loosened up after a few hundred rounds? That's not the quick release version right? The QW mechanism for tightening or loosening isn't a loctite item. It works great.

Is the QD version the one with the two knobs for attaching? Vs the QR version?

Its the one with the release similar to the ADM mounts. I dont find the plastic knobs that adjust the tension very solid. They feel as though I could strip them by hand if I really tried whereas with the ADM the nut recesses back into the frame of the mount, not just one point of contact with a small pin.

I will try the PEPR again before I throw it in the parts bin but next time I wont cheap out or settle so I could have it for the weekend at the range. I think I paid $129 locally for the PEPR whereas I have to order the ADM mount for $170 from a CDN retailer or Brownells.

Havent seen or had issue with the QD P.P.P.R mount at all, so strange to hear. I also know more then a few fellows using them and shooting may rounds with them without issue.
