AR 15 Magazine Release removal

Hi - Just wondering how you remove the magazine release button/assembly from an AR type rifle?

Grap a punch or a round of 223. depress the magazine release no the right in so its flush with the lower or as much as it will go. Now on the left, the catch should be sticking out past the left side of the receiver. Rotate it off and away from the receiver and prestro.

PS this should probably be in gunsmithing.

First post after the "lower parts" pic, shows how to install the mag release. Just do it in reverse. (Sorry I'm a visual kinda guy)

That explains a lot....thanks! Now what if your mag catch button were staked in? Any ideas? (no it's not an AR but the mag release is very similar).
